New addition to the OLF Online Resources Page! If you haven’t browsed the OLF Online Resources page yet, please do! There is a ton of great information there, advice, how to’s downloadable plans, etc! Just this morning I’ve added yet another great resource, Luthier R.M. Mottola has a website that is loaded with great stuff, including downloadable plans. Here is a snippet from his site A collection of resources on the subject of designing and building plucked stringed musical instruments, from R.M. Mottola at Liutaio Mottola, nonprofit provider of design, research and educational resources to the lutherie community. Have a look, browse around! Lance |

Yes, it's a great site. I used his article on carving a violin pegbox and scroll as a guide for my first carved scroll attempt (on a mountain dulcimer). ![]() |

Thanks for adding that, Lance! It's a nice website. I've built one of the Mezzaluna basses he has designed and has plans there to be found. |
